Who we are.

We are building a collaborative of the world’s most exceptional philanthropy advisors to move more money, more impactfully, towards efforts that change the world.

Our Story

Over the course of a year and more than a hundred conversations amongst philanthropy advisors, we discovered a big opportunity: while all of us were charged with identifying high-potential funding opportunities, we were often doing this in silos.

We saw the potential of coming together to collaborate and cross-pollinate — sharing and sourcing funding opportunities, connecting with subject matter experts, tackling big questions we face in our unique roles. By doing this work in a community, we enhance all of our work and scale our collective impact.

Who we are

We are an intentionally exclusive group of top philanthropy advisors, with the ideal conditions for effective, confidential, and impactful collaboration. Our members fall into two categories:

FUNDERS WHO ARE:

Advisors to UHNWIs (single or multiple)

  • You directly advise client(s) who deploy more than $5M/year in philanthropic giving

  • Advisory includes helping them to source, evaluate, or recommend philanthropic funding opportunities

  • You work for a funder who regularly deploys capital each year and funds organizations that operate at a national level (not purely a regional funder)

Lean Foundation Leaders

  • You work for a lean foundation ( <10 FTE / deploying at least $5M/employee)

  • You grant directly to end beneficiaries

FIELD BUILDERS

  • You are a program officer who actively funds ecosystems or philanthropic infrastructure

  • You are a philanthropy advisory field builder. Examples include:

    • You run a community of philanthropic advisors

    • You provide capacity building support for philanthropic advisors

Community Agreements

CANDID, CONFIDENTIAL CONVERSATION

We have honest discourse, sharing our perspectives knowing that the specifics will not be shared beyond our group without permission.

SHARE, DON’T SELL

We generously share ideas, opportunities, and lessons learned in the spirit of helping others. We do not sell products or our services.

CELEBRATE WINS

To build momentum and foster learning, we elevate when this community has advanced our work.

GIVE SPACE, TAKE SPACE

We lean in to share our contributions and balance that by creating the opportunity for others to be heard.

BIAS TOWARDS ACTION

We keep an eye towards translating our collaboration into impact – in particular to our shared goal of moving more money towards impactful efforts.
