Thank you for an amazing Annual Gathering!

The Edge of Influence
The world is shifting beneath our feet.
In many ways, the challenges we are working to address are more complex, more entangled, more urgent than ever. But within this turbulence lies an opening—an opportunity to imagine new ways that philanthropy can show up for the changemakers of today.
As philanthropic advisors, we sit at the intersection of power, purpose, and profound change. Our ability to translate—between donors and grantees, values and strategy, urgency and uncertainty—is our edge.
And yet, we’ve all felt the limits of that influence. We’ve wrestled with the barriers that prevent resources from moving boldly and strategically. We've been pushed to find new ways forward.
It has never been more essential to grapple with our unique role and reimagine the impact we can have. Because within the disruption we are experiencing globally lies the possibility of transformation—not just in the world and in philanthropy, but in ourselves.
This October in Toronto, we’ll gather 150 of our members to explore the edge of our influence and what is possible when we act together.
For two days, we’ll step out of silos and into deep collaboration, grappling with the biggest challenges in our field and charting a course forward.
Program
Our gatherings aren’t just meetings; they’re catalysts. They ignite ideas, fuel lasting collaborations, and transform solo struggles into shared breakthroughs. They also expand our imagination of what’s possible for P150.
We will kick off on Monday, October 6, atop the CN Tower for Welcome Drinks. The next two days will be hosted at Evergreen Brick Works.
As is tradition at our gatherings, we will draw from the expertise and passion of our community. To help us bring this to life, we are excited to partner for the first time with the House of Beautiful Business on the design of the gathering and Monika Jiang from The Oneliness Project to help facilitate the event.
In Toronto, at our third Annual Gathering, we’ll specifically focus on the following questions:
What are the seismic shifts shaping the world right now?
What is this calling us to rethink in philanthropy?
How do we lead, grow, and collaborate to meet this moment?

Our Venue
Situated amongst a beautiful park in the heart of Toronto, Evergreen Brick Works is a former brick factory transformed into a climate-ready space where nature and community come together. What was once a collection of deteriorating heritage buildings has since 2010 become a global showcase for green design. Today, these buildings make up Evergreen Brick Works, Canada’s first large-scale community environmental center.

Apply here: Government of Canada – eTA Application.
Processing time: Typically within minutes, but it is strongly advised to apply well in advance in case further documentation is requested.
Additional Visa Requirements – Country Specific
Depending on your nationality, some participants may also require a temporary resident visa (TRV) or additional documentation in addition to the eTA. Full list of visa requirements and country-specific details: Click here for more information.

In our first two Gatherings, the event was free to ensure cost was not a barrier. This still feels critical. However, many members have expressed a desire to use this event as an opportunity contribute to P150 in honor of the value it brings to their work. We hope this approach let’s us honor both of these interests.
This includes all programming, shuttles to and from the hotels to the venue, and all meals during the event. Travel and lodging are covered by members.
Cancellations before August 10th are eligible for refunds.
