Welcome to P150

We are thrilled you have joined this vibrant community of philanthropic advisors dedicated to moving more money, more impactfully, towards efforts that can change the world.

We put together this guide as a simple way to make the most of your membership and a way to answer many of the most frequently asked questions. Of course, if you have any questions, do not hesitate to reach out to the team at info@p150.org.

Overview of your membership

As part of P150, you have access to:

  1. Accomplished Peers, including 430+ of the top philanthropy advisors in the world, who you can find through our member directory.

  2. Google Groups to share resources, ask the community for ideas, and engage in rich conversations about philanthropy.

  3. A funding opportunities database that aggregates and makes searchable all of the organizations that have been recommended by members of the community.

  4. Virtual events that range from deep dives into specific issue areas to common challenges advisors are tackling.

  5. In-person events including our annual member gathering and meet-ups at philanthropy conferences and in local communities.

We are guided by the following agreements:

To maintain a vibrant, high-trust community, P150 members commit to:

  • Show Up: Join at least three community events each year and respond to peers who reach out.

  • Share, Don’t Sell: Offer ideas and insights generously — without pitching services or fundraising for grantees.

  • Maintain Confidentiality: Keep conversations candid and private unless explicit permission is given.

  • Celebrate Wins: Share when a P150 connection helps move money or strengthens your work.

  • Stay Current: Complete brief surveys to keep your profile and expertise up to date.

Intro to our Google Group

Our Google Group is the primary place members share resources, source ideas, and are in ongoing conversation with each other. Think of this as a knowledge sharing, thought leadership platform to help us do our jobs better.

Find People + Funding Opportunities

We have two main databases on the website — the funding opportunities hub and the member directory. Both leverage airtable to ensure you can sort and filter them to find that is right for you. On each page you’ll find additional directions, as well as some pre-sorted fields. But the main thing you need to know is that you can click “filter” and then add the criteria you want to sort for (specific issue areas, members who live in a certain geography, etc.

We have an active calendar of events happening every month — ranging from ongoing working groups about specific issue areas to in-person meet-ups in different communities. Head here to find gatherings that seem relevant to you (remember, we ask every member to join at least 3 across the year).

Learn + Collaborate

When you open the Google Group, on the left you can find membership settings and update the frequency in which you receive notifications.

  • Each Email: Receives an email every time a message is sent to the Google Group.

  • Digest: Receives a single daily email containing all the text and images from up to 25 complete messages. If there are more than 25 messages, you'll get multiple digest emails.

  • Abridged: Receives a single daily email with summaries of up to 150 messages. You see the sender, subject, and a brief summary of each message.
